Stuck astronauts on the International Space Station
NASA astronaut Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams have been stuck on the International Space Station since June due to a malfunction on their Boeing spacecraft.
Authorities are working on a plan to safely bring them back to Earth, with the option of returning on the NASA SpaceX Crew-9 mission in September. Boeing is confident in the safety of the spacecraft for the astronauts’ return, despite some issues with maneuvering thrusters during its first crewed flight.
NASA analysis and decision-making
NASA officials are still analyzing the spacecraft’s systems before making a final decision.
