Incident in Queens
A police officer in New York City was fatally shot during a vehicle stop in Queens. The suspect, with 21 prior arrests, refused to exit the car, brandished a firearm, and shot the officer in the abdomen. Another officer fired at the suspect, disarming him. The driver was arrested in April 2023 on a weapons possession charge.
